What if the venue I’m in isn’t listed in the app?
If the venue you’re visiting doesn’t appear in your list there are a few things it could be:

  • Ensure that your iOS or Android device has its location services turned on (GPS).
  • Check with staff to ensure that the venue has an Edge Music system.
  • The venue may have an older version of the Edge Music system that is not app ready.
  • If the venue does have an Edge Music system they may have not yet activated the Edge Request app.
  • It’s also possible that the venue use the app in private mode, allowing only staff and managers to make requests, In this case ask the staff if they can ‘open it up’.

Will my request definitely be played?

  • Your venue may have their system set up to play all requests automatically and in this case, it’s a YES! Some venues choose to view your request before it is approved, and then queued to play. Understand that it may be in a queue with other customer’s requests, so sit tight and it shouldn’t be long before you’re listening to your favourite tune!
  • If the venue has the screening mode on, and they find your song unsuitable for various reasons, they may feel the need to cancel your request. In this case you will be notified through the app.

What If the venue I’m in doesn’t have and Edge Music System?

  • Let us know! We will get in contact with them and try to rectify this. In turn they can find out how an Edge Music System can benefit them and you can start having a say in the music that plays with the Edge Request App!
